WHAT IS THERAPY?
Therapy is a collaborative process between client and therapist. In this partnership, the therapist offers education, empathy, validation, feedback, and insight, while walking alongside the client on their journey of healing, self-discovery and growth. Together, both client and therapist work toward the client’s identified needs and personal goals.
The goal of therapy is empowerment. Clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves, the factors that contribute to their challenges, and new ways to respond more effectively. Life circumstances can overwhelm even the strongest people, leading to unhelpful thought patterns or behaviors. Therapy provides a space to break those cycles and build more supportive strategies.
